se.MIS™ is now available with the updated version 2.8.8 which defines another big step in the history of our company.
The new version 2.8.8 again brings several new features and improvements. The recent release continues the tradition of "security first" in order to protect the manufacturing industry and KRITIS operators in particular from hacker attacks and to comply with legal requirements. We have also paid particular attention to the user experience in this release, taking it to a new level.
Improvements to the user interface
One of the most striking changes in version 2.8.8 is the revised user interface. The design has been optimized to enable even more intuitive and seamless navigation through the application. In addition to the technical innovations and current features, our colleagues have also made an effort to further improve the usability of the GUI based on customer feedback.

In addition to the more intuitive design of the user interface, significant performance improvements have also been made. Loading times have been optimized, resulting in an overall smoother experience. As a result, the application responds faster to user input and works more efficiently. Version 2.8.8 also brings a number of exciting new features that extend the functionality of the application. These include, above all, support for HTTPs You can now also access HTTP/HTTPs websites and operate them in complete isolation. Once again, all accesses and changes are automatically recorded and logged in the maintenance log. The new "se.MIS™ firewall" also allows you to further isolate and ban external links. A powerful and unique functionality. The new generation of PLC controllers with web interface in particular benefit from secure access. You can also use it to keep a complete change log of your firewall with web interface. There are a multitude of new use cases.
Improvement of security and fulfillment of legal requirements e.g. NIS2
In addition to the new features and improvements, security has of course also been continuously improved. Our solution was part of a passed audit at a KRITIS customer and was repeatedly able to shine through security and stability. With the 2.8.8 release, se.MIS™ meets all applicable technical requirements of the new EU Directive 2022/2555, also known as NIS2. Also, se.MIS™ is now able to cover the IEC/ISO62443 on SL3 with the support of se.SAM™ SL4 is also conceivable.
Support for security.txt directly in se.MIS™
With the option of storing a security.txt in se.MIS™, you can encourage external security consultants to report their findings to you and put you in direct contact with the right place in the event of security incidents. The BSI also recommends storing a security.txt on your company website.
